Muraspec is delighted to have been chosen by Bath-based retail designers Camouflage toprovide bespoke wallcoverings for a new Wrightson & Platt concept store in London.
The design brief for the project was to capture ‘an eclectic quirky Britishness in its mixture of ideas and styles, with thought provoking and original domestic contextualisation.’
Camouflage wanted to create a trompe d’oeil effect of intricately engraved and embellished wooden panelling, taking reference from luxury Victorian Parisian boutique hotels withbespoke hand painted wallpaper.
Muraspec’s Belmont wallcovering provided the perfect neutral, linen-look base for the delicate hand-drawn design chosen by the client. This was then digitally printed onto the Belmont wallcovering by Muraspec’s specialist in-house team, paying particular attention to the clarity of details personal to the client, such acorns, kestrels, peas in pods and Lincoln, the head office’s prized whippet.
The result is a light, airy space where the wallcovering provides the perfect background to an atmosphere of understated luxury.
